2022 is finally looking like the year that’s going to be packed full of events and socials, which of course… is what you’ve been waiting for. Otium can get you into every event you could wish for and here are some of our clients’ favorites…
6 nations
The eagerly-awaited 2022 Guinness Six Nations fixtures have been announced with Wales set to open their title defence against Ireland on 5 February. The 2022 Six Nations will once again see the England, France, Ireland, Italy, Scotland and Wales international rugby union teams take each other on over the course of five thrilling rugby-packed weekends of fixtures. This is an international competition that takes place annually, with each of the six sides playing each other once.
Wimbledon
The Wimbledon 2022 Tennis Championships begin on Monday, June 27th, 2022, and will end Sunday, July 10, 2022. The Championships, Wimbledon, commonly known simply as Wimbledon or The Championships, is the oldest tennis tournament in the world and is widely regarded as the most prestigious.
F1
Formula 1 has revealed the calendar for the 2022 season, with a record-breaking 23 Grand Prix schedule being approved by the FIA’s World Motor Sport Council.
The season will begin in Bahrain on 20 March and finish in Abu Dhabi on 20 November, one month before Christmas – with Miami hosting the first of two races in the United States.
Goodwood festival of speed
The world's greatest celebration of motorsport and car culture! Held in the beautiful parkland surrounding Goodwood House, the Festival of Speed is motorsport's ultimate summer garden party, an intoxicating celebration of the world's most glamorous sport. Nowhere else will you get so close to the cars and bikes as they blast up the Hillclimb track. The festival is dated between the 23rd – 26th June 2022.
Henley Regatta
For the first time in the Regatta's history, this world famous event will now be taking place over six days. With crews participating from all over the world, this makes for a very exciting day out, either just sitting and watching with a picnic on the riverbank or dressing up and joining in with the more formal hospitality areas. The festival begins 28th June to the 3rd July 2022.
Cheltenham Gold Cup
'The Greatest Show on Turf’ really is the only place you should find yourself in the middle of March. The races are fast approaching, and tickets are selling out fast. Otium can offer our clients the chance to attend the races in style with various hospitality packages available. This year's event runs between Tuesday 15th - Friday 18th March.
Adele at BST Hyde Park
Adele is without a doubt one of the most successful and recognisable voices of the 21st century and she is all set to play Hyde Park in July 2022. Two unique dates have been announced to take place in the iconic London parkland on Friday 1 and Saturday 2 July 2022. With Elton John’s Hyde Park gig postponed, this will be one of the biggest events of the summer, so do not miss out.
She’ll be playing tracks from her latest album ’30’ including the smash ‘Easy on Me’ along with tunes from her glittering career.
Camp Bestival
One of the UK’s best-loved and most successful festivals, it combines action-packed festival adventuress with a fantastic family camping holiday; something that we like to call a Festival Holiday! In its first year, Camp Bestival was awarded Best New Festival in 2008 at the UK Festival Awards and has since won the awards’ Best Family Festival accolade six times. Camp Bestival 2022 takes place 28th July to 31st July 2022 in the grounds of Lulworth Castle in Dorset, UK. Best Family Festival Winner.
